Job Summary:
The Data Analyst – Student Financial Services is responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data related to student financial operations, including billing, payments, financial aid disbursements, and collections. The analyst provides actionable insights and reporting that support data-driven decision-making, process optimization, and regulatory compliance. This role is integral to improving financial transparency, forecasting, and service delivery within the university’s Student Financial Services section.
Key Responsibilities:

Analyse student financial data related to billing, tuition payments, refunds, financial aid, and collections to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.

Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders, including leadership, finance teams, and regulatory bodies.

Assist in financial forecasting, revenue analysis, and predictive modelling to support strategic planning and enrolment-related decisions.

Ensure data integrity and consistency across student information systems (SIS), financial aid platforms, and ERP systems.

Collaborate with IT and business units to define and document data requirements, metrics, and business rules for student financial reporting.

Support audits and compliance reviews by providing accurate data extracts and documentation.

Monitor and report on KPIs for financial performance, service delivery, and student account activity.

Work with other departments (e.g., Financial Aid, Registrar, Admissions) to ensure alignment of financial data with institutional goals.

Support data migration, system upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives involving financial systems.

Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and streamline data processing.
