Landscape Inspector

Job Description

ECCO Gulf Majorel Qatar is seeking an experienced Landscape Inspector to join our Quality Management team in Qatar. As a Landscape Inspector, you will conduct inspections and assist in the planning, development, and supervision of Company’s landscape, turf, pitch, and irrigation infrastructure. This role ensures compliance with Company standards and facilitates smooth operations of landscape services in both external and indoor environments.

  • Conducts daily inspections across all landscape areas, including softscapes, hardscapes, indoor plants, turf, pitches, irrigation systems, and Company nursery facilities to ensure standards are maintained by contractors.
  • Evaluate the condition of plants, soil, and other landscaping materials, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assists the CO landscape Engineer to develop and plan maintenance schedules, estimating manpower, materials, and equipment requirements for landscape, turf, and pitch management.
  • Aids in resolving operational challenges, including adjusting work schedules, addressing non-routine services, managing personnel utilization, and coordinating unscheduled activities.
  • Manages and analyses data related to irrigation, plant health, turf quality, pesticide use, and fertilizers, supporting data-driven landscape improvements.
  • Generates inspection reports on a daily, weekly, and ad-hoc basis, documenting service progress and highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Ensures that company Facilities and or contractor maintains sufficient inventory of landscape and irrigation supplies of materials and equipment.
  • Tracks maintenance schedules and ensures contractors complete preventive and corrective tasks as outlined in the program.
  • Helps in resolving of operational problems related to work schedules, non-routine service, personnel utilization and non-scheduled activities.
  • Assists in monitoring, evaluating, and communicating the effectiveness of contractor services to ensure consistent adherence to Company standards.
  • Conducts inspections to verify contractor compliance with company, HSE, and welfare policies, identifying and addressing any safety or integrity concerns for company facilities.
  • Ensure that all safety and environmental regulations are adhered to during landscaping activities.

Required Profile

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in landscape inspection. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • B.Sc. or Diploma in Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in landscape, turf, and irrigation maintenance for large-scale projects, including pitch management.
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, materials, and industry standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues in landscaping projects.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with contractors and project teams.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to landscaping.
  • Proficiency in turf care, landscape and irrigation system maintenance, and nursery operations.
  • Strong customer service orientation and good written communication skills. Arabic proficiency is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CAFM systems, ERP, and knowledge of AUTOCAD preferred.
  • Valid Qatari driver’s license required
  • Approximately 60% of work is performed outdoors, with 40% in an office environment
