Job Description
1. The Veterinary Assistant's efficiency in the following areas will be the primary area of results
judgment Skill at handling horses for examination.
2. Recognition of disease symptoms and basic ability to interpret such clinical signs.
3. Skill at application of treatment procedures like injections, administration and monitoring of IV
fluids and CRI pumps, applying bandages, dressings etc.
4. Efficiency of performing basic laboratory procedure done on site.
5. Taking care of cleaning and maintenance of all instruments and equipment used in the line of
duty.
5. Efficient communication with both veterinary staff and nurses as well as grooms looking after
the horses.
