Projects Officer

Job Description

ECCO Gulf Majorel Qatar is seeking an experienced Projects Officer to join our team in Qatar. As a Projects Officer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various projects within our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise will be vital in coordinating with different departments and stakeholders to achieve project goals.

  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Support day-to-day business and project management activities by providing administrative duties including but not limited to: scheduling appointments, meeting minutes, creating presentations and collecting data across departments.
  • Identify potential local and international stakeholders, find relevant focal points, schedule meetings.
  • Identify potential avenues for external engagement.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments.
  • Assist the ED in preparing Board presentations, bi-annual report and engaging with external stakeholders.
  • Assist the ED with large events and external engagements.
  • Act as a focal point in the ED office for other departments.
  • Assist the programming, research and partnerships teams as identified by the ED.
  • Assist the ED with research tasks and supporting the annual research cycle.
  • Manage external ED email: Create, compose, and edit technical and/or administrative correspondence and documentation; screen and evaluate incoming and outgoing correspondence and prepare responses as appropriate.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any issues and resolving them promptly.
  • Conduct project evaluations and assess results to ensure continuous improvement.

Required Profile

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in project management and a proven track record of successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in project management.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of policies, procedures, systems and work methods.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is a MUST.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
