Job Description
1. The Nutrition Program Executive is responsible for all nutrition and wellness information and activity for the operation will customize, support, coordinate, and measure nutrition and wellness initiatives and provide nutrition education, training, communication and guidance as needed; and, work collaboratively with the Senior Food & Nutrition Services Supervisor to promote and support corporate nutrition goals, objectives, strategies and policies to develop and implement wellness related programs and initiatives and to ensure compliance with Qatar National Dietary Guidelines, MOPH Standards and FDA nutrition labelling laws.
2. Coordinates and implements sector specific nutrition and wellness programs and initiatives.
Develops and presents materials for wellness programs including health fairs, lunch and learns, program launches, regional and district meetings, client meetings, etc.
3. Leads in-field implementation and on-going wellness training for assigned account.
4. Acts as a nutrition education resource for client, customer and associate nutrition and sustainability questions and concerns.
5. Performs initial face-to-face assessment and evaluates nutritional status of individual participants utilizing nutritional guidelines, professional knowledge and interviewing skills to provide quality care. Performs face-to-face reassessment as required.
6. Evaluates participant’s physical condition and calculates therapeutic diets to meet the specific requirements of individual patients. Recommends to team on the plan of care and status of participant progress.
7.Establishes nutritional plans on assessment of participant’s condition, monitors participant’s progress and recommends/ revises changes in nutritional plan for effective participant care.
Conducts regular audits, ensures accuracy of all nutrition information posted, and monitors all wellness promotion results.
8. Develops and implements the nutrition care plan to promote restore or maintain the participant’s optimum nutrition status, ensuring integration into the interdisciplinary team plan of care. Monitors effectiveness and outcomes regularly and keeps the team informed as to participant progress and level of independence.
9.Provides nutrition counselling to participants and/or caregivers utilizing educational materials, modified diets and teaching aids to ensure participants understanding of the overall plan of care and its implications.
10.Manages menu and recipe development as well as the nutrient analysis.
