The Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that strengthen the organization’s brand, reputation, and stakeholder engagement. This role ensures clear, consistent messaging across all internal and external platforms while supporting strategic business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement effective communication strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all platforms.
- Coordinate internal and external communications to ensure a seamless flow of information across channels and stakeholders.
- Draft press releases, speeches, executive communications, media statements, and content for various platforms, maintaining clarity and brand alignment.
- Plan and manage events including seminars, press conferences, media briefings, and stakeholder engagements.
- Collaborate with media outlets by managing inquiries, arranging interviews, and preparing official statements to maintain positive public relations.
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with journalists, influencers, and key stakeholders to enhance organizational visibility and credibility.
- Develop tailored messaging and communication materials for internal audiences, incorporating proof points to support strategic initiatives.
- Utilize data-driven insights such as reputation tracking, media monitoring, and benchmarking to guide communication strategies, define KPIs, and optimize performance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in communications, PR, or corporate communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong media relations and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling messaging.
- Experience with analytics tools and performance measurement frameworks.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
