Senior Infrastructure Specialist Expert

Job Description

  ECCO Gulf Majorel Qatar is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Specialist Expert to join our dynamic IT team. This permanent, full-time position is based in Qatar and requires an individual who is adept at managing and optimizing IT infrastructure to support our business operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems.

  • Design, implement, and manage complex IT infrastructure solutions to meet business needs.
  • Proven experience in leading IT infrastructure for complex organizations. Design and implement IT environments aligned with strategic vision and roadmaps.
  • Expertise in preparing and defining the scope for IT infrastructure projects and managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including technical and vendor evaluations.Expertise in VMware Virtualization, NSX, SRM, HCX, and other hypervisors.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Office 365 products.
  • Skilled in enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, and data center operations.
  • Proficient in converged and hyper-converged infrastructure, and software-defined data centers.
  • Experience working with Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Conduct product and vendor evaluations to ensure technology solutions are fit-for-purpose, and build and manage strategic vendor relationships.
  • Act as an escalation point for business users, handling both functional and technical deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud-based and on-premises systems.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud-based systems, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement improvements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in cloud architecture and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Basic understanding of IT network devices and security controls.
  • Hands-on technical expertise for overseeing complex infrastructure implementations, system upgrades, and operational troubleshooting.Prepare and present monthly and quarterly service review reports to management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain documentation for operational, configuration, and technical procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve existing systems.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex technical issues promptly.Provide expert guidance and support for infrastructure-related projects and initiatives.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Required Profile

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in IT infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field.

    • Relevance will be reviewed and confirmed by ISD in line with technical competencies of applicant.

  • Proven 12 years’ experience in experience in IT infrastructure management and support.
  • Strong knowledge of network and server administration, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in Azure Cloud Services, and IT Operations Management.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows and VMware environments.
  • Enterprise-level Storage Administration.
  • Enterprise Backup Solutions Administration.
  • Proficiency in Data Center Operations.
  • Effective People Management and Leadership.
  • Relevant certifications from major technology vendors, including Microsoft, VMware, and ITIL.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
